Recent work

Olivier Soudin composes film music using diverse and innovative techniques, ranging from orchestral to abstract sound design and acoustic sound manipulation. He is keen to create music to accompany your project while ensuring that it blends seamlessly with your overall vision.

About

Having musicians as parents (a pianist and a percussionist), Olivier Soudin was encouraged to pursue music at a very young age. Olivier started cello lessons when he was six years old and studied at the McGill Conservatory of Music. He later won admission at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal in Performance and Music Theory. His first cello concerto performance with orchestra was at the age of ten. Music gave him the opportunity to travel the world with youth orchestras, performing in Canada, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy and the United States. Olivier has always been fascinated by music composition. His proudest accomplishments include recording and conducting his music at AIR Studios in London. He also recorded and conducted his music in Budapest with the Budapest Art Orchestra.

Olivier has earned a Master of Music in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games from Berklee Valencia, Spain. He also completed Berklee's Advanced Professional Orchestration for Film and TV Certificate Program with electives in Sound Design and Game Audio. With an interest in business as well, Olivier has a degree in Marketing with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Concordia University. He is a member of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada, the Society of Composers and Lyricists, and the Game Audio Network Guild.

Lastly, Olivier has dual Canadian and French nationality.
